If your family is receiving government assistance such as free lunch or experiencing financial distress, you may (confidentially) choose to waive the fees entirely or by 50% during registration. REGISTER FOR SPRING LACROSSE IN 3 EASY (ish) STEPS
USA Lacrosse Membership: It is mandatory for all players to have an active USA Lacrosse Membership to register for Maplewood Lacrosse Teams and Little Laxers. Your USA Lacrosse membership costs $35/year and provides players and teams secondary medical insurance in case of injury while playing lacrosse so it's actually quite valuable! TeamSnap: Click here to be taken to our TeamSnap registration page. If you have a TeamSnap account, log in. If don't have a TeamSnap account, you will need to set one up. The registration page should be pretty straightforward but reach out if you aren't sure about something. READ ALL THE WAIVERS BEFORE SIGNING!
Uniforms: 2026 is a new uniform year. A $95 uniform fee is a mandatory part of the 3rd-8th Grade TeamSnap registration . The club will soon send a link to enter your child's jersey, shorts, shooter shirt and pinnie sizes. Make sure you measure, check the size chart and size up a bit. Once you input sizes, you will be given the opportunity to purchase additional uniform pieces at cost, plus other MLC gear and apparel. A percentage of your purchase will go toward the club's fundraising efforts.

REGISTRATION FEE DETAILS
Early Bird Registration is $365 ( $30 off!) if you register by 12/17/25. We are already knee deep in scheduling fields and games with other towns. When you register early, we can plan ahead, so thank you for considering it.
Starting 12/18, Registration Fee is $395
In addition, there is a mandatory New Uniform Fee $95 (reversible jersey, shooter shirt, practice pinney, mesh shorts)
Sibling Discount $50 off for 2 siblings and $100 off for 3 or more siblings. This discount is valid for siblings registering for MLC 3rd-8th Teams and is not applicable to K-2 participants.

REFUND POLICY
We understand that many things can happen between now and the beginning of the season. We don't want the worry of need to unexpectly cancel to prevent anyone from signing up.
Withdrawal in writing by 12/19/25: Full refund (minus TeamSnap fees)
Withdrawal in writing between 12/20/25 and 3/1/25: Full refund of registration fee minus. uniform fee of $100.
Withdrawal 3/2 and later: No refunds will be given. Fees are now non-refundable.
Insurance: Please consider purchasing Registration Insurance (RegSaver) during your registration in case your child needs to withdraw for a covered reason.

3RD - 5TH GRADE
PRACTICES
Early March: pre-season indoor practices start (dates depend on field space available)
March: spring outdoor practices - typically Tuesday/Thursday evenings
Approximately 3-4 total practices/games per week.
GAMES
Typically most Sundays (at home), plus Saturdays and some weeknights.
Tournaments - Likely on 5/3 & 5/30
May 31st: End of season games and celebration
6TH - 8TH GRADE
PRACTICES
Mid to Late February: pre-season indoor practices start (dates will depend on field availability and other factors)
Approximately 4 practices/games per week
March: spring outdoor practices - typically Monday/Wednesday and/or Friday evenings
GAMES
Likely to be most Sundays (at home) Saturdays and some weeknights.
Tournaments likely Sixth Grade = 4/26, 5/9, 5/3, Seventh Grade = 5/3 & 5/9 and Eighth Grade = 5/3 & 5/9
March 23 Season Opener
May 31st: End of season games and celebration
8TH GRADE SPECIFIC
8th grade teams compete in the NJJLL League competition and are required to play all the league games in their division by early May
8th grade has the opportunity to play for the NJJLL state championship playoffs in May
Enjoy your break! Maplewood Lacrosse does not schedule games or practices on Mothers Day, or during SOMSD Spring Break. If you are home for Memorial Day Weekend, join us as we march in the Parade! Just don't show up for a game. We won't be there.
WEATHER Lacrosse is played in hot, cold and all too often in rainy weather (as long as fields are not closed), but of course we would never play in any kind of dangerous weather.
